Capital tonight
Gonna go to Capital tonight and see how the car runs, provided the weather cooperates. Just weighed the car...its 4140 with me in it and 3/4 tank of gas. Thats pretty heavy. Question is...will removing the rear seat and full size spare help or hurt my times? Obviously lighter will help on the big end but maybe not the 60'. Seems to me the 60' is going to be the biggest problem. I'm thinking ill be doing good if I can get it in the 1.90 range with street tires.
whats the best way to get off the line? 2nd rear roll on?

did they gget your tune fixed? as far as racing and leaving the line.. take out as much weight as you can..weight will only hurt you. if your on the stock rear then leaving the line on idle is as far as id go. try not to go WOT to quickly as that is what your gonna be fighting with street tires
if you have a rear or feel like pushing your luck then ive found about 2500ish is a great spot to launch from. hold her steady and soon as the light comes down try to keep your foot steady and get that clutch out. i feather it for a sec and keep my throttle foot in the same spot until the car gets moving...trick is to find the right time to go WOT.

Couldnt make it to Delaware today for the tune touch up. Gonna go another time.
Its a stock rear. My initial plan is to slip the clutch in 2nd gear off idle. That worked pretty good in my Camaro. we will see.

made 4 passes before it snapped the passenger side axle.
12.6 @ 118 2.2 60
17 - clutch peddle stuck to the floor
12.26 @ 119 2.0 60
then i tried 1st gear...when I hit 2nd the car broke.
BTW, the car wheel hopped for every burnout. sucked!
$550 = G-force axles on the way!

Inner CV on the passenger side.
54...maggie, baby cam and full exhaust.
I think I can go 11.99 out of it with a couple more passes. for sure 12.0. Im pretty happy with that considering its lowered and on street tires.

I have my OE take out axles from my 8.8" conversion. Let me know if you need them. The inners are not available on their own, already went through trying to source one for another forum member here. He shattered the cage on the passenger side inner, my guess is that you did the same.

Thanks to DMM for the used axle assembly and meeting up with me to get it. Cars been back on the road for a couple days now.
Damian, The passenger axle is the longer one. Let me know when you want to meet up so I can return the other axle to you.
Ough yeah I was able to cancel my axle order before the made them. So I got a refund. I cant see upgrading the axles and not the CV's.
