370 is pretty much the perfect cubes for that turbo imo, and if you go with anymore cubes you will need to run a forged crank which really is not necessary! I have a brand new 370 if interested, just an fyi.

If it was a max effort deal I would say an Iron 347CID engine, if not 370CID is fine.

What HP level did your 5,3 let go? How much power do you want to make?

I would put 4" stroke Crank in Aluminum 5.3 Block that is about 360-365 depends on what bore you go with.
that will give ya low end TQ and an engine size that won't choke your Turbo, good head gasket seal for nice small bore and you get a Super Reliable Combo.

How would that turbo work on a AES 390ci motor?

It would work great, really depends on hp goal. Fastest ultra 275 car runs a cast s480 with a 427 sbf! I myself will probably step up to an aes 390 or TSP 408 when its time to upgrade.

it put down 580 on 10lbs, The guy I had tune it wasn't very familiar with tuning turbo cars so I think the tune was way off. Id like to put around 750 to the tire with the new set up
