I have an 01 f body and the time has came to finally throw a 9" under her. My hopefully simple question to everyone is... What do you gain narrowing the axle without tubbing?

This could help. https://ls1tech.com/forums/gears-axl...g-rearend.html

There could be a few more things that you can benefit for narrowing your axles other than being able to tuck in a bigger tire and having and a stronger rear end. You do alot of racing?

I went one inch shorter on each side on mine, then went with a 15 a 10 wheel with a 5.50" backspacing to give the wheels a little more of a dish to them. Bob
