Default Moser M9

I have some questions on the M9 housing. I've read and it says that when you buy the housing, you need to buy the center section (ring and pinion, posi unit) and axles. After that is it a bolt in? Will the stock driveshaft work? Also, do you HAVE to have a torque arm?

http://shop.brutespeed.com/Moser-M9-...dy-Housing.htm

Basically, what I'm asking is, if I order the housing I linked, what else is needed to install? What brackets, if any need to be welded on?

Anyone installed this housing? How was the install?

A bunch of info out there about 9"s but I'm still looking for more on the M9 housing and installation of it.

Thanks!

Bolts in easily as it has the lca brackets on already and stock location spring perches.

I'm using stock driveshaft (aluminum for auto) and I would prefer it be about another 1-1.5" longer but it has 50% shaft engagement into the tailshaft.

Torque arm - It's better to get the one designed for it but you can (with much trouble) use an aftermarket one if you buy an adaptor bracket - the route I picked. Either way I suspect you'll be using a BFH to make clearance room for it.

All brackets (other than brake line) are already on there and ready to use.

I read in that thread you got a ford 3rd member. Are you just running a stock for 9 inch out of something from a junkyard for example? Or do I HAVE to get a 3rd member specifically for the M9?

You CAN run a stock center section, but I've got a Strange with a 35-spline posi and the only ford parts are the ring/pinion combo. You can use any 9" ring/pinion you choose. Both of the sponsors above are good choices and won't steer you wrong.
