Default Pegged the Dyno and Picked Up 300rwhp with LJMS CAM

Big thanks to John @LJMS. After getting the New FI 5533-94 ETR HO I was in desperate need of a different cam and some more compression. I tore it apart an upgraded rods to some callies ultra billet and callies crank. Called John up and he worked the magic, speced an amazing hyd roller grind. I upped the comression a point and assembled it all.

Got it all together and over to the dyno today. It only took 20lbs of boost to peg the dyno. I made 1200rwhp and by calculations on the dyno it would of been 1350+. Either way I picked up a solid 250-300 rwhp on low boost for this turbo. Im very happy and anxious to hit the track on friday!

Again much thanks to LilJohn motorsports for making dreams come true and Brian @ Dyno tune motorsports as always for the tune work. I have no doubt its making 1400-1500 at the crank at just 20 lbs and it would start pouring power on with more boost!

Awesome numbers. That's a lot of power out of a 4 bolt block, are you pushing any water?

no water pushed on dyno, id suspect it will push maybe some in 1/4 mile around 1400 wheel. I never pushed a drop around 1050

I don't think he will push water at this level, I agree with the 1400hp remark, I think the fact that you're running a larger charger and less boost helps with cylinder pressure.

The ETR-HO 94 when you turn it up will be flat nasty. 1400rwhp will be fun to watch...lol

Nice work. So was the 300hp from the cam only? Or cam, compression & turbo?

From what i saw on FB it was from cam, a full point in compression jump, and the new turbo. Boost was kept 20psi before and after the changes. 300whp from a cam and jump in compression is awesome though.

Whats the compression at now?

We don't know the limit yet....but right now somewhere north of 100+ on a 402LSX we tested on with swapping to the new wheel. I'll send you the pictures of it. Shoot me your direct email.

Gains were from the cam and 1 point of compression.... the car had been dynod previously with the new turbo and the old camshaft.

congrats on the gains. i can see it because you had a big a## cam in there before that must have been awful for power and 2. ive seen increased compression do some amazing things on turbo builds.

question -why is the car on the dyno red? didnt you have the car plastidipped?

thanks guys 25+ psi scares me

its still a 370inch with a tick over 10:1. Nothing special here if you have the time and a couple nickles to build it... it can be duplicated

I peeled the plasti dip about a month ago, it wasnt for me or the car...cool experiment thats all. Hopefully getting the car painted this winter.

Changing the oil and going over some things on the car today and getting ready for tomorrow. Weather has been nice up here with good air quality, if I get it to stick on a soft launch here at my home track it should be a good run.
