96 Z LTx -v- 2000-ish Formy LS3
Two videos…
I never saw this car make a full pass, weather was threatening and I was trying to get in as many passes as I could, but I'd heard him stage up and he sounded like someone we wanted to test, so I asked a buddy to go find him and set it up. Buddy tells me he's runnin' somewhere along with my car, so I figured it would be a good race.
First pass you'll see he gets out of shape, which I didn't know anything about. I just finished the pass, turned it around got the slip and saw his time was dogmeat and knew somethin' went wrong. So I pulled over and asked if he wanted to go again and he was askin' me the same thing, so we went again.
Now I was expecting him to bust out hard…
Because of this:
.
.
.
I was not expecting THIS:
Dude puts down a 7.1 on a 1.6 60' at 99mph. Don't know if he was squeezin' or not, but he was flat gettin' it done.
Props to the FORMY. He got our lunch.
But we continue to tune and we'll be back and by God justice will be served…

Oh yeah… I only spoke with him long enough to congratulate him on his win. But in the brief exchange he sounded like he was just getting it back on the road too… So, like most of the rest of us, his is a work in progress.

We had a Cobra-Termi out there last night, but the guys couldn't get him to line up. Not sure what the deal was, but my guess is, well… you know.
FTR, The Z put down 4 hotlaps took a fiver and set the two ya saw above as a finale… got the dumps closed up juuuust as the bottom fell out.

I gotta admit, I felt some stirrin' in the loin department when I finally got a chance to see the video of those runs; that car spins up SO dam' fast.
Someone else said they didn't think he was sprayin', and if that is true, SWEET MOTHER that is one wicked setup.
Oh… Daddy LIKE!

That is what H/C/E LS3 will do. There is a lot more left in that TA's set-up. He was spinning off the line bad but still got down pretty good in that second video. Looked like he was a six speed too.

There should be a pile left in that car. He was on a slick though and you want a little spin with a stick car. It's not like spinning on a regular tire.....the car still moves on a slick.

At this point, I am once again at that place where I can't IMAGINE going through another build and all the angst and anguish that that nightmare brings. But I am in LOVE with that setup.
As I said he's just gettin' it back up and I expect we'll be seeing a lot of him this winter.
So it appears as tho' the battle line is drawn, on at least one front. Which is so freakin' cool, I can't stand it. We needed that guy BAD.

Yep you are right but that car had a **** load of tire spin. I would say he could knock .3 to .4 tenths off with some suspension adjustment and more seat time. That thing sounded awesome!
