Searching the forum for forced induction should yield some experiences. From the little effort I've expended looking it appears that 3/4 of the people have an acceptable experience with them, the remaining ones were having various issues. In my opinion, it's one of those gambles you have to make. "Do I go for the budget stuff and risk my investment it the components, plus the very real possibility my motor could ingest some shrapnel from a setup gone bad? Or do I wait, save up some and spend more money for the good stuff and have that piece of mind?".

It might be the same one that Denmah was talking about in this post:

Sounds like it, but I can't be sure.
Seems kinda expensive (for what you get).

Great thing about turbo setups is you can buy parts one at a time so it doesn't take quite a hit all at once. I had the time so I bought mine one at a time and researched each and every piece before buying to make sure I was getting a quality product that would fit the power level I wanted and more! I too was looking at that kit and decided against it, but that is just me. Peace of mind comes at a cost.

my friend bought a small block chevy twin turbo kit for super cheap, like 450-550 dollars shipped and made his own turbo kit.
its a third gen with a stock 5.3, the turbos are t3 based 50-57mm not totally sure, car cranks out 650whp @ 22lbs and goes 9s everytime he goes to the track haha
