You wanna talk about the most aggravating thing... bleeding these coolant systems. Its funny you mention this, bc this is what I have been doing all day. Spill free radiator funnel is all I have to say.

I went through the same thing. Just keep messing with it. I would let it run til I could feel the top hose building pressure then I would crack the vent on my cap and let the steam out. You can feel the pressure leave the upper hose. Vent repeat, vent repeat. Just get a radiator cap that has the flip up vent. My hose would almost collapse there is so much steam leaving the system.

Ill post it again, lol

Put it in the upper radiator hose, when I cracked mine it hissed for almost a minute, then coolant came out. Makes life easy. s 20 bucks and billet aluminum, cant beat that imo

Like I said I just went and bout one of those funnels to put on the radiator cap, and let it get warm till the therm opens and bubbles out the rest. Then let it cool down with fans on and suck down all the coolant back into the block and call it a day. These funnels are a must when dealing with these motors.

Seems odd that it's hot driving and cool at idle...usually a collapsed hose causes this.
I would also try leaving the cap off and bringing up to temp, then try reving the motor some and try purging the air.
Now the no coolant flow, either the T-stat isn't open or a bad pump.
Another post here asked about best way to purge the air... a few, including me, like to put the front on stands or wheel ramps to help purge.

Hmmmm. Is the top hose tight when it starts getting hot? Mine would get tight as dicks head band and as soon as I let the pressure off you could watch the gauge ease back down. Done this 6 or 7 times probably. Hose should be very easy to collapse with your hand when the system is bled. When it starts warming up it will get tight if its vapor locked. If its not tightening up you have a different problem.
