im running a tc78 5.3 with this cam and cant seem to get it to idle well in gear (th400 stock stall). 750 rpm it want to stall. if i turn the idle up any higher (pass 900) it wants to pull the car. im still in the learning process of tuning, but im wondering if i am chasing my tail because i need a stall. i do plan on getting a converter, i just need to figure out whats best for my app.

i will also take advice on a converter as well.

Certainly the camshaft itself shouldnt pose any problems.

So its more of a tuning issue?? How much cam have u ran with a stock converter with no issues? Just curious.
