Default Oil pressure problem please read

i have a 2001 camaro ss. Fully warmed up. When i am out of gear and i rev the car, oil pressure rises as it should up to around 55 psi. When accelerating easy the oil pressure rises fine. I did notice that when i push the clutch in to shift it does increase slightly and once back in gear drops (2-3psi) and begins to rise. In traffic i noticed when accelerating quickly the oil pressure drops quite quickly 10+ PSI. My question is why under quick acceleration would it drop quickly, but when free revving why does it rise normally? I run Royal Purple 5-30 and AC delco filter. any advice or direction would help greatly

Double-check your oil level, sounds like it's sloshing away from the pickup under acceleration. Would be worth checking with a mechical gauge too. The sensors go bad sometimes.

Yep, confirm with a mechanical gauge and consider checking crankshaft end-play and thrust bearing wear can cause oil psi trickery.
