Default grinding going into first?

I did a search but did not come up with my particular problem. I know something is messed up but im not sure what.

It started when my slave cyl decided to crap the bed at the track. I didn't have any other way to get it home so I decided to drive it. Instead of starting it in gear (didnt think of it at the time) I rode first gear to get it moving. I floated the rest of the gears just fine. But now it grinds going into first. If i put it in any other gear before putting it into first, it goes in fine. It still will go into first initially but it grinds. Shifts fine into all other gears. Will also grind in neutral with the clutch out moving it towards first gear. Wouldve at least been a little better had I gotten better than a 8.0@90 in the 1/8th haha

Default

Based on the description, and the fact that this is relative to 1st gear only, I would suspect an issue with the 1st gear synchro. That being said, fixing this will require a tear-down.
