Hood Bulge....How to Fix?
I have a small bulge near the front right corner....must have come from the prior owner closing the hood with something placed underneath. It isn't very noticeable but if you look for it you can see it, and I see it. Can anyone give me some pointers on how I can flatten out the bulge (easily??) without screwing up the hood? I'm thinking maybe I should heat id up a bit and place a towel over it with a 2x4 on the flat and try gently pounding it down. Hopefully some body savvy members can chime in with some good advice.

You don't need to heat it, to beat it. I'd say to find
the center (eyeball it), put some kind of anvil(s) where
they will do some good - like white wood blocks - and
use something soft like a dead-blow mallet to bump it
back if it's a large hump. For small, you want to put
some blue masking tape over it, get an appropriate
hard anvil (body dolly) just bigger than the lump, and
slap it flat with a bodywork hammer. Harbor Freight
has good-enough cheap tools. If you're slow and
careful you can bump it flat without ruining paint.
