Default 5.3 turbo head gaskets

are these the gaskets everyones using


Cylinder Head Gasket
LSA/LS9 or Supercharged LS3/L92 6.2L engines
7-layer gasket
Bore: 4.100"
Thickness: .055"


i have a 2001 5.3

LS9 7 Layer Gasket...

I have LS1 head gaskets and they're working perfectly fine. I believe LS9 gaskets are not necessary for 5.3s. I know tons of people that use both, and neither have issues. LS1 gaskets are way cheaper too.

Thats been done with paper gaskets... on a 4.8 even.

Wondering how many layers of steel they are..

quite honestly if its for a 5.3, just buy stock ls1/ls6 headgaskets at under 40 dollars for the pair off summit
