Default can't decide on the mufflers

just about to run the exhaust on my s10 but i cant decide on the mufflers. I have BRP long tubes, lunati .598/.595 231/237 cam and just stock heads. been thinking about xr-1s but its going to be my DD so I'm thinking they will be to loud and cops will mess with me (especially being 17 in my town). a guy gave me stock z06 mufflers but I think they will be to quite. I thought about mounting them just under the cab to make them louder. just a little overwhelming all the muffler choices

XR-1s arent too bad. I would go with some Magnaflow XLs which are a bit less louder than the XR-1s at normal cruising.

Could also put the xr-1 inline before a cutout then put stock corvette muffler.

Open cutout = xr-1 note & closed cutout = stock corvette.

z06 mufflers aren't all that quiet when on it. since you have them, put them on. They are free, and you can always put on something different

I'd vote spintech's IMO they're chambered mufflers but sound great and will help muffle the headers enough

Yeah I was planning on seeing how they sounded. I got a feeling ill like it with my cam and headers. The plan was to run the driver side pipe over to the passenger side and make the passenger side pipe the extra length to make up for it. Make sense? If so will that be the same as putting a x pipe in it?

Check out Dynomax Ultra Flo welded mufflers. I run them on my BBC drag car when street driving and they are pretty quiet. Definitely quieter than a typical Flowmaster 40 series. They're a straight through design with a packing material and come in the usual sizes/offsets.

Sweet Thunders! But obviously that would probably be too loud.

went with z06.... for now. I had them, they were free. so why the hell not. we stuck them on with it in the air to make sure we liked it and we did. So we went ahead and built the exhaust. took us about 4 hours. not to shabby. both pipes are exact same length. https://ls1tech.com/forums/attachmen...1&d=1387077618
