Default hoosier slicks! opinons

i have TA with headers tune and 3600 converter! i had nitto 555r's until i made a test hit and just roasted them! The tire size is 245-50-16 think it couldve been because the tire wasnt wide? So i ordered a hoosier slick
25x10x16!! these are kind of skinny too but im really worried about not hooking! do yall think i can get it or no shot?

I plan on running the toyo dr's in 275/45/16 on my stock 8inch wheel. Mine will be for DD duty so I need something that will last a little longer than the mickeys. But like previously posted you should be able to get the nittos to hook decently. Are you heating them up?

most people dont understand how to get them hot... they think smoke means they are good to go...

the key is to get your MPH up over 100mph in the burnout box....and get there as fast as you possibly can... a few seconds and just a little smoke and you are good to go...roll out of it
you dont need a huge cloud of smoke... just need a little haze and a lot of wheel speed.

and the Mickey Thompson new compound is the best one out right now....dam it is sticky.

I have the 555rs, they don't hook from anything under a 20 roll on the street, but they dead hooked to a 1.78 at the track.

1.78 is not exactly a dead hook....
I've gotten 1.8's on street tires with just feathering the clutch properly..
