Turbo size for a TT 427?
Getting ready to buy a pair of turbo's for my lsx 427 build shooting for
1Kwhp maybe a bit more down the road I had planned on picking up a pair of Comp 6767BB .81 housing i seen a few guys run 67's on a 427 with good results plus they are a fairly small package to place are these a good choice or should i go a bit bigger?

Turbine side is bit small (too much back pressure) and you have to run turbo real hard on anything over 1000whp.
Street & strip / between 6775 or 7175.

I would like to it the 1k at 15-18psi Comp has a 7075 with .81 or .96 exhaust housing just a little bigger frame i think they have a .96 housing for the 6767 also. I just dont want to make it very laggy going to big on the turbo's.

id run PTE 6266 with a t4..... they have a .58 and a .68 AR option.... the nice this is you plan around a t4 and once that 1000 gets borring. you just up the AR and the turbos will support more...

6266's on a 427 would have great response and easily reach your goal of 1000rwhp and could do 1150+ if pushed.
Twin 7675's are good for close to 2000rwhp so I would say they are overkill. No sense in sacrificing a ton of response and midrange power if you aren't going for at least 1600-1700whp with these.

Fwiw i have a 400" sbc making 1009 sae thru a 4500-ish stall th400, on master power T70's. T4 .96's. p trim 64/74 turbine wheel, starts making some psi in the mid higher 3000's, really starts coming in lower 4000's. definately full boost above 4500-5000. Shift 7-7.2 if needed. Its smooth spool, not tire shredding instant but not some huge lag. I like it. But also havent played with spool tune up lol its still low on timing
I would think a new tech 64-67mm could work but with the cubes you'll likely fit maps better with a 67-71 ish size.

Nope dont paln on pushing the power that far maybe 1300 way down the road but that would be it for this build. I will be running a 4L80E trans and 93 pump thats is why i plan to keep the boost down.

I will be running a pair of TC 76/68s witha .96ar on my 427 LS next gen motor. I would not be afraid of a 75/76 at all!
I do know of a twin turbo 427 GTO that has PT62/66s and made a 999rwhp on 22lbs of boost. They are currently in the process of upgrading to PT 75/76s if that tells you anything.
To me its all about what you can or cannot afford. I am running 76/68s cause I got a good deal on them and should be about right for a 427. If I need to upgrade in the future I will but I want to see what these are capable of first.

this is my plan on my LSX 427 built by HKE. Currently running my D1SC from my LS3 which i popped. Planning on .96 A/R with T4 housings. Initial plan is about 20psi and between 1000-1100rwhp on my 5th gen Camaro. Hope this combo works out ok!
