5.7 GTO vs G8 vs 347 procharged foxbody Met up with a couple buddies a few weeks ago for some fun runs. My GTO weighs 3580lbs full interior G8 and foxbody both had 1 passenger. Camera in GTO run starts at 1:01.
GTO-svede intake, kooks lt's, slp exhaust, slp pulley, ported tb, tuned
G8-vararam intake, kooks lt's, corsa exhaust, Pat g tune
Foxbody-347 bolt ons procharged 8psi

If you beat a procharged 347 fox by a 1 1/2, the foxbody must be screwed uped. I had a 347 n/a fox and bolt-on 04 gto and I can tell you the fox was faster.

I know what u mean it doesn't make sense. B4 he put the procharger and b4 I did the svede our cars were dead even. Svede intake was if not the best mod i did to this car. Now I'll say my car has trapped 110mph cutouts closed and 111-112mph open with a crappy 2.0 60'. Unusually high for a 5.7 with a mid 12 pass. Im positive with skinnies and traction the cars capable of low 12's's. u owned a 04 gto? What mods?

LOL I like the part where you said, you guys were dead even before you put an intake on your car, an he procharged his. Soooooo an intake > procharger? Lmao
Good runs none the less, but obviously like has already been said something VERY wrong with that fox.

Not just any intake a svede intake lol I get ur point though. The intake did cut my intake air temps in half and I also picked up 2mph at the track possibly more I couldnt hook with my 10k mile nitto nt555r's . Everybody was pretty shocked we all expected his car to be faster.

His car might have not been faster during this specific race, but it is the quicker car. He needs to get the issue figured out, because it obviously has a MAJOR one.
Obviously if you two were even before you put on an intake (lol) then after boosting it, it will be the much quicker car. You dont procharge something and lose (in this instance) car lengths.
