Default 95 lt1 engine into a 93 z28

Hey was wondering if my 95 lt1 engine will fit into my 93 z28 that ive just recently purchased since it was an m6 and hard top? the 93 engine is still good but id like my 95 in it because i have a heads cam package installed and i know everything is fresh and not beat to death. main concern is pcm and what not.

It will drop right in.

Here's all you have to do..

You will need to swap the '93 intake and fuel rails to the '95.

The '95 will have a different timing cover, opti, timing set, and cam dowel pin length. Your '93 Opti harness should plug into the '95 stuff so you wouldn't have to swap that out. The oil pressure sensor on the '93 is above the oil filter, it's behind the intake on the '95.

Other than a tune for the '93 PCM, it will be a direct swap.

Awesome I will post some pictures of my new car soon. I like the hardtop and the m6 way more than my old cherry t top auto car! I keep finding F bodys in my area for less than 1000 with repairs that are minor!

Adding this just in case.
The 93 has batch injection, and the 95 is sequential.

The opti pigtail connector to the engine harness on the pass side of the intake is the same, but the distributor end is different. If you don't have any of the 95 harness you'll need to find an opti pigtail for a 95-97. Can be had for $30.00 or less.

As stated, the 93s are batch fire with 22# injectors, the 94-97 cars have sequential with 24# injectors.

About ECM tuning: heads/ cam specs? It's probably wise to use the 24# injectors to start with- you may not need anything larger. Talk to your tuner ahead of time and go with the recommendation of injector size to match your mods.
