Default Pro touring miata (Build thread)

The goal with the car is to make a killer all around car. Kill a busa on the highway! Handle turns like its on rails and be able to change the rear suspension geometry to do well at the strip. The car was a standard miata that I put a 347 ford in a couple years ago. It was pretty fast but traction was an issue due to limited tire size in the rear. So I decided to put a ford 9 inch with a 3 link in the rear for more traction. More traction made me think about more power and turbos came to mind. A friend told me ford blocks crack the valley at 550 or so. Me not knowing this being a chevy guy I said hell let's get back to my roots. So I came to this site to learn more about the LS line of engines. And so I find out that truck motors love turbos. That being great cause I have a 5.3 and a 6.0 laying around. I called the cage guy I know to come talk to me about how much power the unibody would hold with a cage. He suggested a 2x3 chassis. And it begins!

Hooker swap manifolds. Have to finish welding up. Seemed like a better option than truck manifolds. The primaries are a good bit larger than the truck manifolds.

I'm using the front suspension from an 06 miata witch gives me bigger brakes, 5 lug that matches the 9 inch pattern and aluminum control arms with better geometry. Turbos are borg s366 with .91 ar divided 73 wheel. I have 95 lb injectors. Currently saving money for a gforce dog ring t56 magnum.
