Default Engine missing block plate(plate between engine and transmission)ok to do?

In the process of putting motor back in car I have misplaced the block plate.will it hurt anything to run without it?its a 99 trans am with a 4l80 and lq4.the distance from converter to flywheel is ok.the starter looks like it will be fine but won't know until it is cranked over.thanks in advance for any help.

I bought a used LS1 from a 2001 Trans Am. Complete from trans tail shaft to water pump. When I took it apart, I was surprised to find that there was no block plate. There was only a small plastic piece near the starter.
