y pipe merge collector help flowmaster vs arh *pics inside*
I have been looking at setups and was curious if anyone had ant experience. How much better is the flowmaster merge than the American racing merge? I will be going 3" to 4" just don't want to leave anything on the table. Here are the two merges, how do you determine what is a good merge and what isn't? The American racing merge looks similar to the burns stainless and I hear that's the best.

This is in the wrong section, but anyways... the Flowmaster merge seems to be what everyone tends to lean toward. That AR merge looks good too though, but if it was me I would stick with the FM merge.

Wrong section and moved.
Having said that, for a Y, I like the ARH merge. They've applied the same high velocity merge collector (HVMC) to the Y as the did to the collectors on their headers. I wouldn't change it.
Any other Y pipe, yes, I'd swap to a Flow Master merge.

All I know is that when I added a FM merge to my Pacesetter ORY, not only did the car sound much better but it apparently picked up some power as well. Case in point: My buddies ported/pullied 03 Cobra would always get me by a solid car at least, and after the merge pipe we were basically dead even

Nice man. I'm actually going with the dyno max bullet now (instead of powerstick I made a thread a while back about it) but one of my plans are to get a flow master merge for it. Hopefully it cuts down a little bit of rasp I may even throw in a magna flow HF cat

Cool! Yeah i've heard good things about the dyno max bullet as well. You do that with a merge and high flow cats, and I imagine it will have a very deep tone with no rasp

Yeah man that's the plan I don't mind rasp at all but a nice deep aggressive tone gives me eargasms
