I'm finally ready to purchase a new turbo and I've narrowed it down to two. It's going in a 2500lb car, 6 speed, stock ls1 w/ arp rod and head studs, EPP/brute speed blower cam. I'm limited to a 3.90 rear end in the rx7 and have to spin the engine to 7000 at the track to make it through the traps in 4th. Will be a street car mainly, I want to tune to 700whp, but run it full time around 550-600. I'm leaning towards the s480 billet/race cover 77/88 on a T4 1.10 except I'm worried it might have too much back pressure in the higher RPMs. What's everyone's thoughts on this? Should I be fine? Or is a 88/96 T6 the answer?

88/96 simply because the 77/88 will choke up top big time if you want to spin it to 7k...

right on. If thats the case, im thinking about a billet S475 then. Should help spool time, plus it moves a little more air than the cast unit.
