Question Advise please...

I am thinking about buying this engine. it is a fresh new rated at 600hp 408 Ls3 11.5 compression but has the 58x reluctor wheel and has this cam
http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/c...csid=1411&sb=0
This will be going in my 2002 Trans Am 6 speed with my D1 Procharger. Is the reluctor easily changed out for the 24x? this i am unfamiliar with. I know the D1 with be pushing hard for the 408 but i can probly get a good deal on it. Will this cam work ok? or should i just go with my original plan in building a 370. thanks!

well since its a PAT G custom cam you could ask pat. as far as the reluctor wheel...if you dont want to pull the motor...lingenfelter makes a conversion box that will make the PCM read it.

oh ok i see it now. I am no valve train expert. its a 113LSA. typically 114-115 is typical for boosted setups. some people stick with a lower one for the sound and a lil more torque on the bottom. maybe someone with a little more knowledge will chime in. I just try to encourage people to do it right the first time because i know what its like to go through swapping **** out over and over trying to get things to be right.
