So no one want's to jump in on this ? After over 90 views no one knows? Is it right in front of me,am i a dumb *** for not seeing it/posting this,or no one has any actual direction for me to look?

A single 50mm BOV will be enough for pretty much whatever you throw at it, but some people like to run two in case one fails.
Wastegates are harder to determine, lots of variables... twins or single.... placement, angle, size of turbo(s) etc...

Too many variations....say you wanted 5lbs max on a BW S480 6.0 you may need two 44's but maybe you want 1200whp on a built 6.0, you could run without a gate.
Some guys run without BOV's. The common 50mm bov is good for most set ups on here. Up over 1200hp or so should get another one.

Ok gotcha, a 50mm BOV seems to be the general used size as far as being able to handle most high HP apps.
I'm doing your typical 5.3 single turbo jy build but i'm willing to spend a few more than your average Ebay china $50 WG. This,to me,is a very critical part of a turbo system and if a cheapo gate fails i don't wanna loose my enginge over that.

install 3.31s (i have)

For your upper power goal you are going to need 80lb injectors with pump gas. You can hit the lower goal on 60's with pump gas. If you are going to run E-85 you definitely need the 80s for you HP goal. Should be a fun ride when done.
Thing is a S475 is capable of 800-900 RWHP on a 5.3 depending on the setup the 80s will support this on pump gas and can support 800ish with the pressure cranked up if you are running E-85. If you run 60s you will run out of fuel before you run out of turbo. You have enough pump with the 044's to support over 1K RWHP on pump gas. Not sure if they are E-85 safe though someone else might know this answer but if they are they will support 800 ish on E-85.
The T6 versions of the S475 are cheaper why not build the kit with a T6 flange and save a couple hundred dollars right out of the gate. It will also allow easier upgrading to larger turbochargers down the road when you get bored. Sizing of a T4 BW S400 and T6 S400 as far as space they consume in the engine bay is almost identical as well.

I was thinkin of just gettin the 80s right out the gate. My only concern was over fueling/idling issues with too large an injector but the ecu should be able to compensate for that. So it's only a flange difference btwn t4/t6? Just seems like every t6 housing you see is ginormous! The only other things i dont like about BW 475s is all the "Mack Truck" connections which i think that's where these originated. What i mean by that is, 5-6" inlet,5" outlet,T6 flange,V band outlet all of which i'vs seen on big diesel engines. I would just prefer the more common connections,but i know that comes at a $rice..

I like the idea of a smaller housing for quicker spool,thats the size i'm leaning towards. You really think i'll need 2? Will getting an over size WG make it more difficult to contol boost and make it spikey?

Ok good,that's a relief,i'll get the 80's so i have the room. Yea,i'll decide as i design the hotside. Lucky for me,the chevelle has plenty of hotside room

FWIW, I run the 5.3 with z06 cam and S475 T6 turbo with 1.10 AR divided turbine housing. I am very happy with this setup, to me it spools very good. I also run a single JGS 50mm WG and I'm very happy with that. I kept the hotside divided as best I could with the single WG. One piece of advice I wish someone would have told me on the JGS WG, get the vband option so you can swap springs without messing with the circlip like mine has. I'm running E85 and 9psi boost right now for reference.

I built an engine with a single on it. I had the turbo custom built to my specs, small hot side with a big pressure side. That thing would spool up super fast and had tons of air into the intake. Ran like a raped ape.
