I've changed numerous oem gm pumps through the years where the connectors have burned up due to overheating and or loose connections. Is there any reason not to add the hotwire kit to a newly installed pump in my T/A it seems like a win win deal to feed the pump fresh clean power on a correctly sized wire and for the price it looks like a cheap insurance policy.

Any reason not to add it? Price, install time, and very little real world benefit. Other than that, I can't see why you would think there would be a problem.
