I bought a 6" piece of heater hose, clamped it on to the port. Then the other end got a snug fitting brass threaded plug screwed into it......then a clamp.
Can't remember if the heater hose needs to be 3/4" or 5/8".....just get it when you go pick up the radiator.
It makes for a great drain hose to do a fast flush when needed. The factory petcock valve sucks to use.
This picture shows when I had a plastic threaded plug....now it's a brass threaded plug.

For mine, I filled the ports with JB-Weld after blocking
them with some plastic dams and scuffing the inside to
make sure it had some "tooth". Cut the dams to fit tight,
press them in not quite all the way, paint the pocket
with some JB just to seal it and let it set up overnight;
next day, fill all the way.

^^^THIS is a GREAT idea!
I just got a large (I think a 3/4") vacuum plug from the Dorman aisle in Pep Boyzz, and put a spring tension type clamp over it.
The problem is that the cheap, poor material, Sino made plugs from Dorman deteriorate/age crack VERY quickly, and need to be replaced every year.
