need help removing a4 shifter knob,!

Default need help removing a4 shifter ****,!

Im putting In my overlays and Im down to getting the damm shifter handle off my 02 trams am. I can see theres a small slot in the bottom rear of the handle but not sure what to do at this point.once I get it off is it difficult to re:install it. thanks.

That slot is actually the back of a metal clip. This clip looks exactly like a beefy staple. Use something thin or pointy to pry/pull it out. Once it is removed the **** will slide right off. Re-install is just the reverse.

Put the shifter in 1st. It will help you see/reach the pin better. Just be sure to secure the car in some way incase it wants to roll.

I use a tiny screwdriver to remove mine.
