FMIC, can I retain some bumper support.
New toys are in and I have decided to cut out the front license plate area for better air flow. Is it possible to retain some of the bumper support ... Maybe just trim out sections ? Or will I need to remove all of the mid section to acomplish what I'm looking for. I am considering the Burkhart support if I need to remove all structure. I'd rather trim instead of remove. What have you guys done ? Pics would help.
Thanks all

Just looking at the size of this IC & the lack of air that will get to it, I don't see any other option other than opening the license plate area & removing that section of the bumper. I did a bit of searching & during an old thread Bob mentioned that a few years ago he installed a system without cutting however, the owner was only pushing 8lbs or so. I plan on waste gating @ about 13 lbs
(Ungated about 16-17 lbs ) so I need air flow to cool things down.

What type of fab work are you talking? I just had someone back into my car in a parking lot and pushed my intercooler back into my washer bottle and I think the Burkhart support will make for a nice protective barrier around my new FMIC.
