Default Valve Train Upgrade Questions....

My LS1 has 134K on it and I know the stock pushrods weren't good to begin with.

I am considering replacing the pushrods, lifters, springs, and rockers. Want to go to a higher ratio rocker for the meantime.

Full heads, cam, etc. is still a couple of years away.

Is this a worthwhile effort? Probably get my stock heads ported down the road. If so, part recommendations are welcome. Budget is middle of the road, not state of the art, not crap.

Car is driven almost daily, needs to be reliable.

Thanks!

How do you know the pushrods arent any good? If the motor is stock just leave everything alone until you do heads and a cam. My original motor had 225k on it and everything was fine so you'll be good for a while.

Dont replace the rockers, just do a trunion upgrade to the stock ones.
