Question Plastic chroming of the LS1 intake manifold

I just wondered if any of you may have purchased or had your LS1/LS6 etc etc intake manifold plastic chromed? I have seen this product for sale in the U.S. on thins website http://www.hotrodlane.cc/ . If you go to "new products" there you will see a chrome version that they do on exchange of your LS1/LS6 intake manifold.

I just wanted to know if anyone has purchased this and if it works, or does the chrome split and crack? Does it hurt the performance by traping heat or is it ok? It looks really nice tho I must admit.

Thank you for your time and help.

if anything it might help with heat issues. it would keep the heat in the engine bay from heating up the inside of the manifold.

It looks absolutely badass, but I think they wanted like $695 with a core!!!!!!!! Can't attest to any longevity issues.

There's a place somewhere in Tennessee that does chrome plating on plastic and it's suppossed to hold up really well. I remember seeing them at Shades of the Past this past Fall and they had the bellows for a Vette that had been chromed. I wanna say it was something like Advanced Platings or something like that. If you find anything out let me know, cause I'm gonna be removing my intake this summer to do a head swap and plan on either having my intake sanded/painted or getting one of the Holley Chrome Intakes.
