According to what I read on gm high-tech performance magazine the Ls1, slp and tsp airlids produced the most hp and torque under a locked pcm. Qmp was still good but averaged 1 hp less and 2 torque less

shaulinmathvader, a lid is a lid. if the magazine wants to compare down the bone, thats fine. its still only with their test car. you could put an mti on your car, and dyno +5hp over stock, but while i run my k&n fipk, i'll get something like +9/+12 on the dyno. but dyno numbers only go so far. right now my fipk is restricted by my stock t/a hood...so on the track it won't perform as stellar as in the dyno(with an OPEN HOOD). every car is different...tsp and mti seem to be the favorites.
i said to hell with a lid and got a fipk tho...they look badass, they flow just as well if not better, and yes they do make a badass whooshing sound between 2500~5000rpm. not why i bought it.....but a nifty bonus nonetheless.

According to the magazine conducting the test, not one airlid breathes the same. that was the purpose of the article. the locked the pcm so the car would not change the air fuel ratio at all an would not affect the hp change. I know a lid is a lid. looking for a cheap one go to fbodymotorsports, the slp is $89
