Before you spend several thousand dollars trying to hook up
a V6, take the money put it on top of your V6 trade and buy a
z28. You'll have a faster car, more value(good luck getting anything
out of a blown V6) better reliability, a legendary nameplate if thats
worth anything to you, etc, etc....
99% of guys who try to mod the hell out of V6's say they wish they
just would have bought the V8 in the first place. You're going to spend
a ton of time of money just trying to catch up to the car you can buy off
the lot.

I think building up the V-6 would be a good idea. I have seen a Supercharged V-6 Mustang down here where I live and it sounds good as hell, and it actually runs pretty good. I was surprised at how fast it appeared to be. I think the 3800 could make some decent power with the right combination. It will get expensive but he wont be like everyone else with an SS or Z28. I say go for it and if it comes down to it, have someone fab up some sort of kit for ya. Dont forget to drop the compression a little and turn up the boost!!!

i read an article once on a v6 mustang club. they had bolt on, s/c and spray and the fastest one was like mid/low 13's.sad. i agree with the small motors. i tried to build a 305 iroc once. yeh it ran 14s but it ran low 15s before the motor build. what a waste. young and greedy and yess..... stupid.

Does the v6 platform have a differant automatic tranny than the ls1 platform? I know the 5spd isn't up to it. Even so, many people with all-out setups replace the tranny anyway.
And who said OUR brakes were up to the job? Hehe.
But, yeah, building an engine swap into a v6 platform only makes sense if you're going all-out and will be replacing everything anyway.
