Default Help with M6 to TH400 Swap

If anyone out there can help I would really appreciate it.

I got the TH-400 installed. God what a change.

Not a big problem but one I know someone can help.

On cold start up the car will die immidately when put in gear. Once it get good and warmed up, no problems what so ever. What table would I change - again only on start up - no codes were thrown after swap.

I really would like some help. If the rain goes away, the weekend should really prove that all my time and money was worth it.

Let me know.

David

hey Dave, i had the exact same problem. it is becuase the motor was tuned previously without a load at idle and now it has this new load of slipping a converter in gear and a 230+ duration goes not help. i tried lots of things and eventually just locked the PCM in open lood at idle and raised it to 1050rpm. no more problems after that. also once you lock it in open loop, you can use the PEvsRPM table to derectly lean out or richin it up at idle since in is now in open loop. try it, there was a post by NOGO that gave me the idea in the tunning forum.

oh yea, no speedo here eather. i also found out that going TH400 did not drop my mph like i thought. i was able to keep my 118 that i had with the M6. i ended up haveing slipping problems with the TH400 so my times did not drop to much but i was happy with the mph. i am looking for 120 also. hopfully with my problems fixed i might get it.

Thanks taqwache .. I figured out was the car likes and doesn't like. I have to make sure that it is warmed up a little - like a minute or 2. Than just pull it into 1st, no gas. Works great.

David.
