GM stopped producing the LS6 intake manifold a while ago, so the only way to find one of those is ebay/online/etc.
They also stopped offering the LS6 crate engines, as well as the LS7 in the latest Chevy Performance Parts catalog (I guess they needed ALL of the remaining LS7s for the current Z28s??).
The LS1 crates were gone MANY years ago.
It looks like any brand NEW composite performance cathedral port LS1 manifold will have to come from FAST, or maybe the new MSD piece?

IF that's the case (depending on just how cheaply one can get the Dorman), we might as well just drop the coin on the premium aftermarket ones, or take our chances on the used LS6 ones for sale on fleabay and such (I ALWAYS suspect nitrous backfire cracks on those, sadly enough ).

The GTO site has a good thread, worth the read pictures and stuff on page 2:

Basically if you can port it well yourself you could have an OEM quality LS6 intake for a little less than the cost of a used one. If you're paying someone to port it the price is probably a wash with a used LS6. Personally I'm planning on going with a FAST later this year even though they are triple the price of this guy.

Whats confusing about the pics of the Dorman is that it has an opening for the EGR pipe on top, but it is blocked off with a plate, even though it lists the correct apps for an LS6 intake (which never had that port).
I'm guessing they did this so that it could be a "one size fits all" type deal for the pre-2001 f bodies who want to keep their EGR systems, even though they don't list them as a correct app for this part??
