Altering Shift Points for 4L60E
I did a serch and could not find much about this. On the 94-95 PCMs the is a free mod that puts the PCM in performance shift mode. Does anyone know if this hidden feature is available on the newer models.
My car tends to favor higher gears during moderately hard acceloration. I would like the downshift threshold to be lowered.

To the extent it exists, it appears to be a
function that is sensed by the BCM and
sent over the digital bus. On F-bodies there
is no switch, and our BCMs seem to be not
the same as the trucks (which do have the
tow/haul second mode). The F-body trans
tables still carry the "performance" along
with normal, cruise and hot but noone has
been able to tell me how to activate the
"performance" selection. So you might as
well learn to like the one mode you've got,
and program the best out of it.
It sounds to me like you really just want
the part throttle shift tables adjusted.
