BADDLY oxidized polished wheel!!! What to polish up?
My TT II's had to sit on my car over winter outside. Snow, salt, rain, etc... took its toll BAD!!! My Mothers alluminum polish wont even make a dent in the layer of oxidation. What can I use? This is on the inside part of the wheel where all the brake dust builds up. Help please!

Ive used wadding polish, I dont know how it works on the TT2s since I havent used it on mine but on my other wheels on my truck it works great. It gets off all of the junk that I get on them.

sounds like you will need to wetsand them and then re polish.
do a search on aluminum polishing..i've posted stuff and so have others.
try this though.
get some wet/dry sand paper..you will want to use the lightest grit you can to remove the damage, if you go too rough, its more work to get them back proper again. If the oxidation isn't too bad, wet sanding with 2000 grit might do it, but I have a feeling you'll need to go down to at least 1500 grit, maybe 1200. Just be sure to make the last step to be at least 2000..2500 if you really get froggy. Then you can polish it back to new with Mothers Billet Aluminum polish..don't bother with cheap stuff..the Billet is pricey but WELL worth it.

I had the same issue. I used a buffing wheel with some buffing rouge. Took some work, but got them shiny. Also found out that 3m scotch brite pads work good. I believe they have one that says non scratch. That stuff works great. Then of course I went over them with mothers billet polish.

I had to re-do mine as well. The crap you buy over the counter like at autozone or dicount tires, Etc.. sucks. I went online awhile back (dont remember the website) and bought this polish and it worked good!

Also, look around on-line for a set up that you can put on your hand drill like a pad for the polish and a buffer pad (so your hand wont fall off from scrubbing). Worked great for me..
Also this worked good below as well. Picked this up at a car show. They claimed it puts a clear coat on as well so it might pro-long the oxidation..
Zephyr Pro 40 Perfection Metal Polish
I bought a little package deal, the piece for the drill, 2 polish pads, a buffer pad and 16oz of Magic mix for under 30 bucks. Dont remember which web-site though.. Wheels look like bran new. Hope this helps..
