People with Pro 5.0 and LSS

Got mine as a package from Afterthoughts Auto (sponsor)... and I love it. It's a great mod if you drive hard at all. Driving with it is like night and day difference from the stock shifter.

I've had mine for about 3 months. I love it! I have owned 2 Z28's and I always had issues with hard shifting from 2nd-3rd but with the Pro 5.0 and LSS I've never had a problem going from 2nd to 3rd. It did take me a couple of weeks to get used to it though. Others have complained about excessive noise but I have no noise issues whatsoever. One of the best mods I have done to date.

Wouldnt dream of driving my car any other way. After the initial learning curve of the short throw I've never had a problem missing or even scratching a gear.

I also recommend cutting the 5.0 stick down.
There is alot of thread there to do so. I have the L.S.S. & didn't like it cause it stood strait up from the 5.0 base.
The stick that comes with the 5.0 is pointed toward the driver, I found it easier to drive cut down than the L.S.S.

Good shifter for sure,
def needs cut though, sometimes you might even want to cut it and run a die over it if you want it shorter. Depends on your prefrence. I know the Pro 5.0 handle for the mustangs is almost to short and the one for the Fbodys is to long, doest make any sense

Love my Pro-5.0 w/ LSS.
Feels more notchy and I never miss the 2nd to 3rd shift.
The only bad thing I can say is I now have a hard time getting it into Reverse and it is a little harder to shift it into 6th.

I have a JSS on my factory hurst and I think it feels about as good as the aftermarket hurst I had in my last car, is the Pro 5.0 gonna be noticably better than either of these, worth the extra money?
