I also have the TR224-114. I run an SY3500 and 3.73 gears though. I have my rev limiter set at 6800 and my shift points set around 6500-6600 (1-2 45 mph; 2-3 83 mph). I have bounced it off the rev limiter a couple of times while roll racing on the street and luckily have caused no damage.

A 6800 rev limit should be fine as long as you upgraded your valvetrain. I have 918's/titanium retainers/hardened push rods.

Default Shift points and rev limiter ? on an a4

I have a tr224 114lsa cam on a 00 ta most bolt ons a vig 2800 and 3.23 gears, question is this i had the car dyno tuned and my shift points are way to low 5500 in first 6000 in second rev limiter is set at about 63/6400 manually shifted the car at about6100 at the track and picked up some et car, still feels strong what would you safely set your limiter and shift points at? stock bottom end and dont want to blow it up yet sorry so long. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

I think 6800 is too much for that cam. It really doesn't make power that high. I have roughly have the same cam set at 6500.
