Loss of air conditioning after tune?
A repost of what's already in "External Engine"... has anyone else had this happen?
Post heads/cam install, the AC stopped working. No visible crimped/bent lines, and a recharge of the system holds pressure. When commanded by a scan tool to turn on, the compressor runs and the AC functions correctly, nice and cool.
So what's the next step? Most likely culprit(s)? Any way that LS1edit tuning might have messed up the PCM somehow to provoke this problem?
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

In HPTuners I see A/C cutoff vs RPM and vs TPS%
fields (presumably to drop parasitic load when you
get on it). I would have a look at those, maybe a
little "oops" like lowering the cutoff RPM to 300
instead of 3000, etc. got in there.

Sometimes you can get a goofy flash. Try flash it back to stock, read PCM and make sure it really has stock tune in there, then put your performance tune back in. I have had my max %tps get stuck at 93% by a goofy tune. And one time lost my ECT gauge from a weird tune. No more goofy flashes since I got a PCMCIA serial port to replace the crappy USB adapter.
