Coach and Thunder Racing Win Bracket Race!
Thanks Thunder for a great Hot Rod. You ROCK!
I went 6 rounds to win the race on Sunday. The Hot Rod ran great. I only broke out 1 time,(3 round) the other guy red lighted to give me the win. In the final the other guy red lighted too. "Can you say intimidation"
It is so cool that I have a 2002 M6 that huals ***. Man, did I have alot of people ask about the Hot Rod. Very Cool.
There was some protest about my Hot Rod. Someone protested to the tech inspector that I was useing my line lock on launch. The reason was because I was kicking major *** with my reaction times. They told me to keep both hands on the steering wheel. Not one hand on the shifter and one on the wheel. He also said just go kick their *** the your diving ability but keep both hands on the steering wheel. I said will do and won the race anyways.
Thanks to (Sean) Bad Habit Bird for your help and the video. See ya Tuesday.
Good Luck to everyone no matter what shop you come from.
This weeks racing schedule Saturday Bracket race at HRP, Sunday Bracket Race at TAD.

What was your dial-in and what were you running? I like seeing another 6-speed win bracket events, I won five consectuve events at HRP last season .
I was the ONLY manual-tranny in the top-10 of each event LOL!
How the hell can you use a line lock with a manual tranny car??? Doesn't make any sense.
Congrats on the win

Re: Coach and Thunder Racing Win Bracket Race!
Coach's car was running awesome especially in such hot weather. After making some adjustments on the HAL's and tire pressure's the car was running consistent 1.57 short times (4 runs in a row )
The guys running the track were very impressed with his launches, the car was leaving bald spots on the track where his slicks were sitting when he was staged lol. I believe he had the only car at the event with a manual tranny.

After seeing the car in person and checking out the setup I Know the car has 10's in it. It just needs to be tweaked a little and Coach has to get a little more used to the monster
I ripped the video's last night but dont have a place to host them with a lot of bandwidth, if anyone wants to see the runs let me know and I will email you the links.
Congrats Coach on your awesome setup and bracket racing skills, I think you might have the points leader a little worried

Nine Ball,
Thanks, (Sunday Bracket races are 1/8 mile, not enough shut down area for the 7.50 to 9.00 Hot Rods)I was dailed in at 7.37 and was running anywhere from 7.37 to 7.44 depending if I needed to touch the brakes so I wouldn't break out.
Patman,
Thanks, Cash, a little pile.
Trever D,
Thanks Man, I hear ya! Bad Habit Bird has some video.(only a few runs battery went bad) You need to e-mail him.
Paul,
Thanks, Thunder Rocks!
Kent,
Thanks also, I think I had them mystified driving a six speed Hot Rod, running the number, and cutting good reaction times.

Re: Coach and Thunder Racing Win Bracket Race!
I have an a4 now but raced manuals for years....it wouldn't be natural for me take off with both hands on the wheel.
What a bunch if whiners. Its cool ya still beat em. I've noticed theres ususally a fair amount of 'old school' at the track that hates newer cars whippin boottie...whether it be backet or heads up.
Way to go !!!!!!!

Congrats Coach! Feels good don't it?!
I would've told them to hold my nuts. Put both hands on the wheel....RIGHT!
Good job!

Re: Coach and Thunder Racing Win Bracket Race!
Congrats on the win Coach. I might just have to go to the finals with this Saturday @ HRP. That would be good. I paid $20.00 and took home a $2.00 trophy a couple of Wednesdays ago. It's all about winning especially when every other car in your class is running 10s+. Good luck and hope to see ya there.
