Thumbs down Gas Pedal Goes Soft & Stumbles??

My car, for some odd reason, all the sudden the gas pedal goes soft and the car stumbles as in the revs instantly go down and stuff. Has anyone heard of such a thing? What might be the problem

Do you have traction control? If you do, you might wanna turn it off. The tcs kills the pedal action and pulls timing out of the engine, reducing power.

LOL, no people. It has nothing to do with TCS. When the TCS is engaged the gas pedal is actually pushed up, it doesn't go soft
