Question 98 PCM To 99???

Can i change my factory 98 pcm to a 99 and up??
I asked this question because i noticed that every company who developed new products to fine tune an LS1 make their products to work with 99 and up cars,
What i have to do to change my PCM for a 99?The wire harnnes is compatible?
Thanks in advance!!!

There are quite a few differences mainly in fueling. It would take a lot of work.

We offer tuner packages for the 98 that do not require you to rewire your car for a new PCM.

Some good data, you don't gain anything by going to the 1999 computer to be worth the cost and PITA to do the conversion.

you can get HPtuners for the 1998's like magnus said

the only company that does not offer tuning for 1998 cars is diablo, you can still get edit, hptuners.

It's my understanding that the 98 cars are a little less accessible as far as fine tuning. Are there areas you simply can't get to in a 98 that you can tune in a 99+?
