The Hot Rod runs a new PR.

The Hot Rod runs a new PR.
I went and ran at HRP on Saturday night. I ran a new PR of 11.22 at 121.06 with a 1.51 60ft. With a race weight of 3415 with a 1/4 tank of race fuel.(I will make the 3,500 weight for the Thunder Shootout race easy, front passenger seat, seat belt harness, and a full tank of race fuel).
In the bracket race I went two rounds. In the 1st round I cut a .506 and ran a 11.27 on a 11.21 dail in. I killed the guy on the tree and lifted at the top end.
Second round I was really pumped. I raced a Super Stock/L,finally another stick Hot Rod. I cut a .509 light to his .842 but I missed 2nd gear and it was all over. I was pretty upset with my self for missing the gear but Hell, thats Drag Racing. PS. I had a 1.50 60ft on this run also a new PR.
Today, we ran at TAD. It was also a great day for PRs. I ran 7.11 at 95.96 with a 1.50 60ft. in the 1st round. I also had a run with a 97.08 mph in the 5th round a new mph PR in the 1/8th. The great news is that I ran 6 rounds with all the et times in the 7.teens.
The bad news is in the semis(round 7) I missed 2nd gear again, with a .525 light to his .559, and missed my chance to go to another final. Oh well, thats Drag Racing.
Over all it was not a bad weekend. I had a great time and won some money.
Monday, the Hot Rod gos back to Madman for a couple things to help the Hot Rod 60 ft better.

Very nice times Coach. I'm glad you finally made it to the track to do some quarter mile racing.

Coach, I always like reading your "play by play" of the weekend's racing!
I tried to go racing Saturday night, but the weather didn't cooperate.

Nice times Coach
I'd like to start doing some more bracket racing, but we dont have a footbrake/no electronics class locally
I'm a pretty consistent .52X-.53X light cutter, and within .05-.07 of my dial in, but its not enough to compete with the big dogs like yourself
Maybe one of these days

Re: The Hot Rod runs a new PR.
sweetTA,
Thanks.
All it takes is alot of practice. I race every weekend that it doesn't rain.
At the places that I race at if you don't cut a .530 light or better and run with in .01 to .02 to your dail in, you are on the trailer.
Seat time and practice is the key.
