Default rear end broke

I went to the 1/8-mile track last night at Kennedale and ran 8.65 on street tires. When I went to third gear at the finish line my posi unit broke. I have an 8.8 ford rear end with disk brakes that I am going to install. I also have a set of 28x13.5x15 ET street tires. The rear of my truck weighs 1480 lbs. With me in the truck.
Do you think the ET street tires that I already have are large enough for the rear weight of my truck? If everyone think that they are not large enough to get me a good 60’ I could sell them, I have never run these tires because of the 7.5 rear end that on the truck now. I can install up to a 33x18.5 x15 tire on the truck.
I am also going to have to buy a set of gears, on the 7.5 I was running 4.10 gears. My LS1 is stock at this time. The only mod that I am planning on doing is install electric cutouts which I have, a 224/224 .561/. 561 112 cam and a 150 shot. The cost of custom-made headers is to high so I am not going to do heads. With the mod's that I am planning on doing what gears would you run?

Does this time look okay for a stock motor and street tires

60’ 2.132
330 5.727 mph 63.85
1/8 8.657 mph 81.62

So it's an LS1 powered S10 Sonoma?

I'd run 4.10's with those 28" tall slicks. Those tires are for a 15x10 rim I assume? With a 4.10 it will be like having 3.73-3.80 gears back there.
