TSP 228R alive and kicking!
I had the Texas Speed Cam and valve train package installed last week by F-body central. Both are great to work with. In addition to the Cam I installed a pulley, LT's and new Magnaflow catback.
The car sounds awesome. It has a nice lope and sweet idle. It puts a major grin on your face.
I was very supprised with how well the valve train sounds. My old stock valve train made a lot of noises. I thought I had piston slap, but I think it was from the valve train. Now it sounds much better.
The car revs great. I still have my shift light set to 5800K. When it use to take some time to get to the light now it flashes quick and keeps pulling strong. It just revs so much better than stock, unreal.
I think the 3.42's are hurting me a little. They will have to due until I can swing a 9". Even with the 3.42's it's a blast to drive. I am very pleased with the package.

Wow that is very close to the setup I am about to install....
Our Parts are quite simular, I will have cats and heads so that will take some away, then add some to what you have....
I look even more forward(if that is possible) to my setup after seeing you post.

Texas Speed Chromemoly 7.40 pushrods. I still have stock heads. I did notice more valve train noise this weekend, but it is still less than my stock setup.
Maybe the exhaust is canceling out the valve train noise. The new setup is much louder than the old one.

I have the 7.40 pushrods from TSP. The valvetrain seems to have quieted down with thicker oil, enough to not be annoying. I've read that 7.35 pushrods would have been better for this cam though. I am wondering if anyone is running 7.35 pushrods with this cam.

Actually you have no mill on your heads so the 7.4 was the right chioce due to smaller base circle of aftermarket cam. If I worded that right. Mine's a bit noisy but no biggie. Consistent 390 - 395 RWHP unlocked in my a4 with 412- 425 RWTQ
