With the LS6 cam I would pick the 5.3's over the LS6 styles for sure. There is a guy here locally that runs a LS6 cam and a set of patriot 5.7's and he ran a 7.6x 1/8th @ 91mph Thursday night on his first trip to the track with that setup. He goes by "ls1only" on here.

If you ever plan on going with forced induction (turbo, super-charger or nitrous), you would want 5.7 or LS6 heads. The reason being is that the 5.3 heads increases your compression from 10.2 to 10.8.
However, if you never plan on forced induction you could gain a little hp from the extra compression.
Good Luck,
Al

You can run high compression with Nitrous. Just need to pay attention to the tune on the gas.
As Gomer stated the 5.3's will wotk great with a smaller cam. If you are going to run a big cam like a g5x3 or a tsp231/237 the LS6's will work great. You can get the LS6's from patriot with a smaller combustion chamber to bump the compression up as well.

Hey Brad you've got the same setup as me... BTW what the hell is up with that weblink in your sig???? Who did your tuning? Do you have access to HPtuners or Edit? I'm having a few "bucking" while cruising at 0 % TPS issues. I would really like to take a look at your tune if it is available.

Try a MTI SII cam , I just dynoed 390 rwhp through cats with stock heads . I think you'll hit 410 easy. On a 75 shot dry it did 472 RWHP .
With a new fuel pump Im going to kick the **** outa 550 rwhp
Its a 240 220 581 581 116 LSA

The stealth II cam is great. You can't even tell it's in there until you get into the throttle...Sounds stock too.

I beleive you will be fine with the LS6 springs...I would call David tomorrow at MTI and he will get you set up. Like I said I beleive you will be OK with the LS6 springs, or you can opt to go with the comp 918's. Enjoy the cam!

What are you main uses for the car...for instance do you just drive it on the weekends with occasional trips to the track or is an everyday driver...what kind of times do you want to be able to run...what kind of tires are you running??? answer these and we can give you a better recomendation on the stall...be as specific as possible on the car and it's uses, and your expectations.
