H/C 10's for all of you ARE fans.
As far as I know it's the 1st H/C including our larger cube freinds (PSJ, I know you'll make it soon) in the 10's. Chgo area that is.(Barely) but I'll take it. Had to remove the carpet for the the 6-point Wolfe this winter so I decided to run at Great Lakes Sunday. Car still has air and air bags and all that other ****. Weight about 3350.
Car ran 10.992 @ 123.37 with a 1.48 60 ft. Not bad for an early stage 2 H/C from ARE.
Next step is to follow in G. Coffey's foot steps.

LOL George!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Your poor stock shortblock didnt appreciate being revved to 7K+rpm with the old GTP HCI on there eh? hehe <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
Great Job ARESilver Z-28!!! Now go help PSJ! hehehe <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
If you took another 300 pounds out like the other hardcore 346 Hyd guys here you would have a REALLY GOOD shot at the overall 346 record <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Wouldn't that be blasphempy though from Chicago? <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Cheers,
Chris
ps- I Hope to join you in the spring with my six speed Formula <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

Congrats Rich!!!
Rich has not posted much but he ran his car almost every week this summer at RT66 and at other tracks, whittling his number down.
Rich if you go 10.93 you will beat Dave P who is the fastest ARE H/C A4 guy...

My peak HP is higher than yours and I run 11.89 with my GTP setup. Maybe its time to buy some ARE stuff...

Also he put grotts on since the 380RWHP dyno.

Re: H/C 10's for all of you ARE fans.
thanks for the info....I think your convertor and gears..along with a little weight are making me feel slow.
I have a Vig #7, it looks lke all the 10 sec a4's have the Yank 4400. You guys think I could use the yank and spray? I really want 10's w/o n2o but I still want to spray too. What do you think?

Re: H/C 10's for all of you ARE fans.
Rich spent all summer working his car down from a 11.8? or so down to a 10.99 by reducing weight judiciously and changing his combo. Rich tried a few different intakes and did at least one converter swap. Hey Rich maybe you are 60fting better now also since you have a bit more sidewall and your old ET Streets were worn out?
Rich also attended GMHTP Bristol 2000 along with BradWS6 and I and others from Chicago.

Re: H/C 10's for all of you ARE fans.
The Yank was a big help over the Vig #7. 60 ft about the same but the Yank is way more efficient.
Thanks to everyone for all the contrats.
It's taken a long time to get it here but I had faith in ARE's package. The car ran 11.7's when I got the H/C done. After changing converters, gearing, and taking some weight out we've got here. We being my Buddy Don(Ford Guy)Bailey who has helped all the way.
And No, I never changed Cams looking for power.
For those of you not happy with your ARE heads make sure that is what you really got. Nuf said. <img border="0" alt="[whiner]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cry.gif" />
