Default T-2R swap Qs

Just ordered up a T-2R chunk from Strano's. I
was thinking about also swapping in some 3.42s
at the same time but if the chunk can swap in
without perturbing the current 3.23s and the
lash setup, I might leave well enough alone there.
I expect to get the basic R&R (probably new
carrier bearings) done under warranty but probably
can't get a full rear end gear swap with hard collar
and such, to slide in under the radar.

So my main question is, does a T-2R chunk really
just drop into the stock 3-series carrier, or is
there more to it than that?

And, would an OEM-for-OEM, 3.23 to 3.42 swap
really be a big parts & labor deal?

you will still have to get the rear set up. just get the gear you want and go for it!
btw, i have that posi. i don't know if it's the posi or poor setup, but mine has a weird howl at about 65...annoying to say the least. oh, it does burn nice posi though!
