In the auction it says the intake came off a camaro SS. Why no EGR?

Notice the ad doesn't call it a Z06/LS6

Says it will fit one.. which is true...

The title says LS1 intake manifold. "Camaro Trans Am SS LS1 Intake Manifold Z28 WS6 LS6 Z06 "

No, you are right. LS6 does not have EGR unless it is SLP's modified LS6.

The only way you can tell the difference is by looking at the back of the intakes (LS6 is flat) or by part number.

If you remove EGR, you can easily weld a piece of sheet metal on the hole and smooth the welds out. Instead of buying a plug.

Then the other alternative (mentioned above, twice) is the part number.

If you think that way, it could also be a LSX FAST intake manifold, since it is silver in color. Instead of black

.. I think the LS1 intake has an indent, not a hump. I know what you meant though.

Lightbulb

I've been seeing a lot of that going on on ebay lately...people selling '97-'00 C5 LS1 intakes (no EGR hole) and trying to pass them off as later LS6 intakes.
That's where there might be some confusion.

If it came off of that car, it is an LS6 intake. Look at this to tell the difference.
LS6 is on the right
