Can I look at your trans table?
I have ls1 edit. I also have a car that came with 2.73 gears. It now has 3.42 gears and a 3500 stall converter. Anyone have a similar setup? I'd like to look at your shift tables to see what you did to get it to shift correctly. Mine seems to be not wanting to shift from 2nd to 3rd at WOT until it bounces off the rev limiter half a dozen times.
I lowered the shift rpm to 5000 and the shift mph is at 69mph and it's still doing it. I'm asusming I just use the "normal" tab for tuning the trans since there is no performance button on the z28 thus I shouldn't need that table. And hot shoft is for when temps get high, right?
I can post my .ls1 file if someone wants to look through it, or if you can email me yours assuming you have the same gears and converter setup.
I just don't know where I am going with this...is it shift points causing problem? What about adjusting for converter slip?
Lost here... I need to know asap if it's a tuning issue or a mechanical trans issue.

The shift won't happen until both the rpm's and the mph are met, so if the mph is still too high for your 3.42 gears, you'll still bump the limiter. Here is a table I built to see mph at different rpms, with my 3.42 gears, using what seems to be a .968 driveline factor for automatic tranny with the stock pcm. I bought an LS1 from a 2.73 car, and put it in my 3.42 car.
Code:
RPM Tranny Gear ratio 3.059 1.625 1.00 0.696 ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== 700 4.8 9.0 14.7 21.1 800 5.5 10.3 16.8 24.1 900 6.2 11.6 18.9 27.1 1000 6.9 12.9 21.0 30.1 1200 8.2 15.5 25.2 36.1 1500 10.3 19.3 31.4 45.2 2000 13.7 25.8 41.9 60.2 2500 17.1 32.2 52.4 75.3 3000 20.6 38.7 62.9 90.4 3500 24.0 45.1 73.4 105.4 4000 27.4 51.6 83.8 120.5 4500 30.8 58.0 94.3 135.5 5000 34.3 64.5 104.8 150.6 5500 37.7 70.9 115.3 165.6 6000 41.1 77.4 125.8 180.7 6100 41.8 78.7 127.9 183.7 6200 42.5 80.0 130.0 186.7 6300 43.2 81.3 132.1 189.7 6400 43.9 82.6 134.2 192.8 6500 44.5 83.8 136.3 195.8 6600 45.2 85.1 138.3 198.8 6700 45.9 86.4 140.4 201.8 ==== ==== ==== ==== 1st 2nd 3rd 4rd

And in this thread is a copy of my shift points:

I also had to go back and reset my tcc points back to stock, because those shouldn't really change.
